· Strong development background and experience in similar roles in finance change initiatives
· A minimum of 3 years of VBA programming experience with focus on MS Excel and/or MS Access applications
· Proven track record of working with change teams following the agile or waterfall delivery models
· Technical mindset with the ability to analyse and challenge problems/solutions, in order to ensure the best outcome is achieved
· Attention to detail with emphasis on writing structured and well documented code in a modular way
· Ability to support other team members, respond to testing queries in a timely fashion, provide low-level code analysis to pinpoint problems which are missed by other analysis techniques
· Proving support to junior members of the team
· Ability to maintain code and test artefacts, operate code versioning and backups
· The role holder will also be expected to promote and take accountability for quality of deliverables; to identify opportunities to improve delivery and to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions are taken
The role holder will be willing to learn new technologies and platforms should a need arise
