HR Digital Transformation Change and Implementation Lead

£522.50 PAYE / £670.47 Umbrella (GCB4)

London Canada Square (Hybrid – 1/2 days a week in office)

Contract till end of 2022


Role Summary:

HSBC are currently searching for a Change and Implementation (C&I) Lead to join the HR Digital Transformation Programme. Within this role you will be responsible for defining the change and implementation approach and plans, stakeholder engagement plans, success criteria for change, assessing the impact of change and ensure change ownership ready for implementation. Additionally, within this position, you will also have indirect responsibility to manage change and project team e.g., C&I support staff. Key Responsibilities:

Overall Role Responsibilities:

·        Develop a robust change and adoption approach and plan for the HR digital programme focused on successful embedding and supporting the achievement of the programme

·        Ensure that change impact assessments and reactions are analysed, and change interventions are identified to manage those impacts and reactions across HSBC

·        Work closely with relevant communication point of contact to ensure communication plans for the HR digital programme are defined and aligned with the overall HR narrative and Group Strategy

·        Identify and mitigate key change and implementation risks/issues/assumptions/dependencies for the Programme

·        Keep stakeholders focused on the agreed outcomes and benefits and minimising risk during deployment

·        Influence and manage stakeholders and sponsor relationships in leading the change and achieving the benefits

·        Drive change proactively, balancing planning, scope, schedule, budget, communications and training

·        Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks around C&I activities to project / programme leadership and committees and making recommendations to influence decision making

·        Driving the adoption of the change framework and working in alignment with HSBC’s Agile project methodology at all times

·        Support Global Head of HR C&I in any other change related activities relevant to the scope of the HR Digital Programme


Key Experience / Skills:

Experience and skills that are required for this role are as follows:

·         Experience working with Agile methodologies

·         Experience in change management (implementing transformation projects / programmes)

·         Strong stakeholder management experience

·         Ability to work across multi-disciplinary and multi-culturally diverse work environments

·         Experience communicating effectively and confidently at all levels, both in writing and verbally

·         Experience in design & change initiation is preferred, including understanding and proven experience of the application of design thinking methods

·         Ability to create a sense of urgency, pace and collaboration across the business, HR function, and HR Transformation while delivering the complex and critical change initiatives

·         Ability to manage and control multiple complex work streams and C&I activities within the context of the programme.
