Project Manager / Business Analyst

£522.50/Day PAYE - £670.47/Day Umbrella

London – Canada Square

10 month contract (until the end of 2022)

Role Summary

This is a role for a hybrid Project Manager / Business Analyst contractor within HSBC Asset Management Business Transformation – Investments.

 This role will focus on Responsible Investments and Global Fixed Income change initiatives.

The role is within the HSBC Asset Management Business Transformation – Investments (BTI) team.

BTI manage the delivery of change initiatives for the HSBC AM Investments function. BTI ensure effective change management and oversight utilising group-standard programme governance frameworks and tools.

The role holder will work within a global programme to deliver global fixed income responsible investments solutions. The role holder is required to have project management and business analysis expertise and knowledge of fixed income products. Asset Management and data science experience will be useful.

Responsibilities will include the following:

·      Project management and governance in accordance with HSBC AM change framework

·      Manage planning, prioritization, cost estimation and management, requirement gathering, solution design, project delivery, quality assurance, roll out and transition to BAU

·      Chair project steering comettees and prepare steerco packs

·      Business analysis and documenting Target Operating Models

·      Documenting process flows and procedures and work with global locations to implement changes

·      Regular status reporting to Programme Management

Skills/Experience

·      Experience utilising both agile and waterfall project management methodologies

·      Ability to manage multiple projects

·      Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·      Experience designing and documenting target operating models

·      Knowledge of Fixed Income products

·      Multi-disciplinary – ability to support the shaping of the business requirements and solution designs that encompass all aspects of the delivery (stakeholders, process, policy, technology, data, infrastructure etc.)

·      Experience within an Asset Management organization will be useful

·      Understanding of data science will be useful

·      Excellent written skills, with the ability to condense multiple inputs into written requirements

·      Experience with test planning, execution and defect tracking

·      Good written and verbal communication for stakeholder and vendor interaction

·      Strong Analytical/problem solving skills

·      Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks

·      Experience with MS Office, JIRA and Confluence

·      Minimum of five years relevant experience
