Senior IT Business Analyst

Remote / Canary Wharf

Overview:

             

Global Asset Management, being part of the Group investment businesses with approximately US$600 billion of assets currently under management, is the core investment platform of the HSBC Group that provides investment solutions to retail, institutional and private clients in all major financial markets.

 

The Global Middle office program is replacing five separate systems / providers in the five Global Network Market regions (US, UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong) with a single global provider.

 

Purpose of the Job:

             

Senior IT Business Analyst to lead the analysis required to replace the existing system/provider in each region with the new system, including but not limited to:

 

•            Work closely with the new provider, each region and local SME’s

•            Work closely with the technical development teams, both within HSBC and with the new provider

•            Lead the analysis of up and downstream impacts and related technical change to ensure a seamless transition to the new provider

•            Lead the analysis of technical decommission of applications and data feeds

•            Lead the analysis of data retention and storage / archive

•            Lead the analysis of the development of in-house ETL / messaging tools

 

Responsible for:

             

•            Provide subject matter expertise and leadership in the Technical BA domain.

•            Provide leadership and the ability to motivate and influence IT and business colleagues in all five regions

•            Understand stakeholder needs and communicate to all stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

•            Collaborate with the business SME’s to validate documented requirements with product owner and all stakeholders.

•            Conduct detailed analysis across all elements of technical change and integration of the new system, and replacement of existing systems.

•            Work closely with and guide the technical and integration teams building or developing relevant applications including the test team.

•            Ensure smooth transition to live operations in conjunction with production support.

•            Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and internal control standards, as well as AMG Architecture strategies and relevant design standards.

•            Comply with external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour.

 

ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

 

Required knowledge and experience

•            Asset Management knowledge and experience

•            Strong specialist knowledge of Middle office processes, applications and workflows

•            Prior Middle office outsourcing project experience

•            Prior integration project experience

•            Expert in technical business analysis

•            Expert in latest technologies

•            Demonstrated experience of working in an agile structure

•            Demonstrated ‘senior / lead BA’ leadership skills and experience

•            Extremely high levels of accuracy in any output, communication and documentation
