Job title – Finance Transformation Accountant

Location – London (Office 2 days and working from home 3 days)

Rate – PAYE £500 / Umbrella £641.60 per day

Start date – ASAP (February)

Contract – 10 months plus


Our client HSBC are currently seeking an experienced Finance Transformation Accountant to join their team of finance professionals in the London office/remote working, this contract will be until the end of December 2022 with a review to be extended or made permanent.

The Finance Transformation Accountant role supports the DBS Operations Transformation activity, by providing independent financial guidance and validation of the financial benefits delivered by the programme.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Provide support to the Finance Operations Transformation Lead, Transformation and Regional leads by providing strong and effective financial insight and advice, whilst at the same time, constructive challenge and an independent perspective
  • Play a key role in monitoring and reporting the Operations Transformation financial deliverables, ensuring benefits are robustly tracked and adhere to the bank wide policy
  • Provide a single point of contact for the transformation (BDU leads) and attend relevant PSC, representing Finance
  • Build a relationship with the regional transformation leads to review business case initiatives to ensure an early opinion on benefits validation and cost to achieve review
  • Ensure correlation between the Ops transformation financial targets, FRP and forecasts, highlighting throughout the year where there is potential risk and/or opportunity
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvements to Project financial management

processes, with a particular focus on improving transparency and relevance to the business

 

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Experience in operating within complex Financial Services organisations (Banking preferred);
  • Business analysis experience and strong technical and commercial understanding of what drives the numbers reported;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of excellent stakeholder management, working effectively across global and regional teams
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities;
  • Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems;
  • Subject matter expertise in Finance and Operations;
  • Strong communication skills – applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations);
  • A professional Finance qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
