Background

TPM has an in-flight global change programme that aims to establish how TPM will operate in the bank from 2021 onwards. This includes multiple work packages that will deliver changes across:

 

  • Policies and standards
  • Business processes
  • Tools and technology
  • People and organisation (incl. Organisational Design – OD)
  • Risk metrics and reporting

 

Overseeing all of this is the Programme Management and Governance team which includes a Change and Implementation team.

 

This covers all Global Businesses. Global Functions and Regions.

 

The Programme is reported to all the senior forums to the bank.

 

Deliverables

The TPM Learning & Development Consultant will be part of the Change & Implementation team, supporting the training team in:

  • Development and delivery of training deliverables for aspects of the TPM Programme, including:

o  TNA

o  Training development

o  Training deployment

o  Post training review

o  Identifying and implementing improvements to improve training efficacy

  • Managing development and delivering of training content through external suppliers, where required, to the right levels of quality and completeness against training requirements, and against planned timescales
  • Managing the translation of all learning materials into the required languages for TPM, for both suppliers and colleagues
  • Identifying and utilising innovative, interactive and effective alternative means of learning which can be used efficiently and effectively with audiences globally
  • Liaising with local trainers in the GBs, GFs, Regions, Markets and Countries, as required, and with TPM Change and Implementation Leads to ensure training delivery in line with TPM implementation plans

  • TPM Training Lead, TPM Training Consultant, Head of TPM Change & Implementation and Change & Implementation Leads and Change Communications Leads
  • TPM Work-stream Leads including Process, Technology and Organisation Design and The Hub
  • GB, GF, Regional, Market and Country local training teams, as required
  • External training suppliers (TBC)
  • Key Stakeholders in Global Businesses and Global Functions, Markets, Regions and Countries

 

Experience Profile

  1. Knowledge of Learning and Development / Training in the bank or across industry and consultancy.
  2. Good Project Management
  3. Able to think and work strategically and work independently, lead teams
  4. Experience in managing Training Suppliers
  5. Background in Procurement / Supplier or Contract Management / TPM / TPR beneficial, but not essential

 

Key skills / experience required

  • Training: knowledge of effective learning and development approaches across all colleague grades / stakeholder groups and suppliers / customers to support a large, complex global programme
  • Training Design and Development: experience of design, development and implementation of effective learning / training materials for a wide range of grades in the bank, as well as for customers / suppliers; effective monitoring of training effectiveness, and identifying ways to improve
  • Consultancy and Industry experience
  • Experience of Risk / Regulatory and / or Procurement and / or Operating Model Transformation Programmes preferred
  • Supplier Management: experienced in managing external training providers in the production of training materials against learning outcomes, requirements, to the right quality, accuracy and completeness against planned timescales, to facilitate deployment of training against delivery plans
  • Understanding of HSBC’s business / change landscape and our Business Transformation Framework would be a plus
