Overview:
Futures Technology is a global team providing technology services to the HSBC Futures business. The team is managing multiple Listed Derivatives e-Trading platforms, delivering key client and regulatory / exchange driven projects – helping help our global business and its customers to succeed using Agile and DevOps principles is critical for us to deliver business value, with continuous improvement and learning at the centre of everything we do.
About the Team:
The Futures technology team manage and maintain a combination of external vendor platforms and internally developed systems. The eTrading platforms cover all areas of eTrading, from client order entry through the order messages on global exchanges, Pre & Post Trade Risk and Allocation services.
The team spans the 3 main trading hubs (Hong Kong, New York, London), with team members in five locations (Guangzhou, Hong Kong, New York, London and Krakow).

Purpose of the Job:
Project manage and hands-on technical delivery of a multi-year upgrade and migration of the main Futures & Options Order Management System and Exchange connectivity platform to a managed service.
You will handle all phases of the project as part of a wider project team – navigate internal HSBC processs, business stakeholder management (requirements gathering/analysis through to implementation), vendor management and client migrations.
Responsible For:
Project management of a multi-year global platform upgrade and migrated to a external managed service
Major Challenges:
Turn legacy platform complexity into a scalable future state
Essential Candidate Requirements
- Must have strong eTrading project management experience
- Must have experience of order based trading systems and exchanges (Futures or Cash Equities)
Ideal Candidate Requirements (Experience, skills, competencies etc)
- Vendor system knowledge – Itiviti ULLINK
- MIFID 2, SFC, CFTC – regulation working experience
- FIX Protocol – client connectivity hands-on experience

You are an excellent communicator, and are comfortable communicating directly with the Sales/Trading Desk and internal Technology teams and are able to range up and down the detail depending on your audience.
