Talent Assessment Consultant
Location – London/ Remote Working
Rate – £623 - £800/Day PAYE or Umbrella
Start date – ASAP
Contract – 6 Month
This role will provide HSBC with technical SME support working flexibly across Workforce and Talent assessment solutions within the HSBC assessment CoE. You will contribute to and gain experience in the on-boarding, development, QA and refresh of assessment solutions across the employment lifecycle to ensure that they meet identified needs, are effectively deployed and are reliable, valid, and fair.
What you’ll do:
- Work flexibly with colleagues leading Workforce and Talent assessment solutions to assist with implementation and maintenance of a range of assessment solutions spanning recruitment, development, Id of potential, succession and promotion.
- Gain experience in the applied deployment of SHL, Korn Ferry and Cappfinity assessment technologies.
- Support R&O, Heads of Development and Learning on the selection and deployment of assessment solutions within assigned solution areas.
- Support the upskilling of R&O, Talent CoE and HR community within assigned assessment solutions.
- Preparation of communications and learning materials to accompany assessments.
- Create SOPs to address assessment design, appropriate use, validation and legal compliance.
- Preparation of insight reports using assessment results and data.
- Provide day-to-day technical support and coaching on report interpretation and data analysis
- Support in the provision of SME responses to questions raised by internal control mechanisms, e.g. Model Risk, Compliance, People Risk, Legal, Change forums, Employee forums and Internal Audit
- Contribute external information and best practices on the use of assessments related to recruitment, development and talent management.
- Step up to provide temporary assessment solution lead cover as required.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- M.Sc./Ph.D in Occupational/Organisational Psychology with a strong background in assessment.
- 5+ years’ experience in Assessment solution design, selection, validation, and data insights required.
- Proven ability to distil complex and varied data into information to measure and manage performance.
- The preferred candidate will have recent experience with global assessment consultancy, preferably SHL, Korn Ferry, Cappfinity or Russell Reynolds.
- Qualified personality and ability test user (BPS Ability & Personality) and eligible for BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU)
- SHL or KF assessment knowledge and accreditations preferred.
- Recent in-house Assessment CoE experience desirable but not required.
