Location: 8 Canada Square – Hybrid – 2/3 days a week

Rate: £963.24 – inside IR35 – via Umbrella company

Contract: 12 month

Job Description:

We are seeking a candidate to assist in driving and embedding large-scale changes to identify, develop, tiering, monitoring and governance infrastructure to existing model risk management processes across all Regions (at frontline, middle office and global).

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing the framework and leading identification of the global Wholesale DQM population – partner with all product and business areas across frontline, middle office and global to drive identification efforts

• Create DQM governance framework and ongoing monitoring requirements – liaising with relevant Model Oversight Forums across the Group model categories as required

• Design and rollout extensive Wholesale DQM training programme – effectively upskill the model community to streamline DQM identification and management, and support transition into BAU management

• Partner with Wholesale Non Financial Risk Control team to mobilise and embed DQM procedures and controls across sites

• Co-ordinate offshore team DQM remediation book of work by committed PRA deadlines – ensure DQM owners have necessary support to create relevant risk management documentation, fully onboard attributes and have ongoing monitoring requirements in place

• Partner with Wholesale SS1/23 technology workstream to design and influence DQM analytics framework, including future governance operating model within new Group strategic inventory platform

• Provide support to the Accountable Execs as required, influencing stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of programme deliverables and its delivery partners

• Contribute towards SS1/23 OpCo / SteerCo / Model Community Awareness Sessions – key approval and communication channels with accountable execs, regional model management teams and wider model owner community across businesses and partner functions

Knowledge:

• Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviors, processes and objectives;

• Knowledge of Change Management and Programme Execution best practice;

• Understanding of digital concepts, strategies and developments as they apply within financial services; and

• Broad understanding of wholesale banking proposition, financial services landscape.

Experience:

• Prior experience in functional/business management preferred, working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environments;

• Strong analytical background and proven ability in analytical rigor, including being able to contextualize data into business activities and conclusions; and

• Exposure of successfully designing and implementing global / regional change initiatives, operationalising policies and procedures.

• Strong relationship management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels;

• Developed management skills, including managing a wide range of projects;

• Ability to motivate other managers and staff, employing appropriate management / influencing styles;

• High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives; and

• Execution orientated with an ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals.
