We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Calculation Compliance Assessment Lead.
Role responsibilities:
The IRR Programme was mobilised to ensure that Reg. Reporting across the Group is fit for purpose (accurate, timely and complete). The IRR’s overarching objective is to build a sustainable control environment for CAT1 returns and that it can be managed within the capacity of BAU teams, underpinned by a more scalable, sustainable control framework.
The role sits in the “Testing” strategy pillar of the Programme and the role holder will be directly responsible for the following:
Lead the Change team to:
• Establish CCA Operating Model (high level processes to SOPs; standardised approach to CCA)
• Set-up the ongoing review at formal governance to include clear communication of Assessment Report findings, with clear ownership and tracking of findings through to resolution with senior Finance oversight (after forum is agreed)
• Lead the implementation of Tooling (Appian tool for CCA standardised workflow, interface into TRICS, logging of Assessment Reports and efficient tracking of Findings)
• Ensure there is a clear and prioritised scope for CCA deliverables in 2025 – managing this with IRR PRA and Regional workstreams and following Change Control as required if the 2025 prioritised baseline requires change
• Engage IRR workstreams to resolve their issues such as lack of ownership of findings or agreement of materiality of findings (working with the CCA BAU Lead Assessor)
• Clarity project management for CCA in IRR – status, RAIDs
• Lead the monthly CCA WGs and weekly IRR PRA workstream engagement (may extend to regional attendees depending on 2025 prioritised BoW)
• Represent CCA at IRR forums e.g. Portfolio WG
• Rollout training for CCA BAU resources to embed CCA capability into BAU by ensuring skillset is developed to perform CCAs
• Educate the DQM owners in the standards for Calc logic documentation in order to enable CCAs e.g., through continued use of new CCA Sharepoint
• Lead review of further operational efficiency measures e.g., independent testing tool for calculators
• Manage assigned change resources and work with CCA BAU Lead Assessor to build a highly performing CCA BAU team ready for embedding into BAU in 2026
• Prepare 2026 budget with the CCA BAU Lead
Skills and experience:
• Senior Project/ Programme management experience – establishing new Operating Model and governance
• Engage and update senior management on progress, escalating blockers as appropriate with solution mindset
• Scope and budget management/ status reporting, ensuring that other programme workstream leads understand any requirements being interlocked
• Demonstrable experience of working within a regulatory reporting environment, controls and tooling implementation
• Experience of managing, leading and motivating a team
