We are currently seeking an experienced individual in the role of Procurement Sourcing Lead.
The Procurement Sourcing Lead will manage category strategy and planning for a specific Procurement sub-category on a global scale, aiming to deliver cost savings, value generation, demand management, and innovation for HSBC. They will execute Sourcing projects to meet saving targets and key business outcomes, aligning with the category strategy and leveraging supply and demand-side levers. This role involves mitigating risks associated with purchasing and ensuring post-contract value opportunities are identified and delivered in alignment with Category Strategies.
Supporting the Global Category Lead, the role requires the creation and continuous review of category plans and the identification of new outsourcing opportunities. The Lead will build influential relationships with senior-level stakeholders, drive business outcomes, and apply advanced analytical skills with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Key Responsibilities:
• Support sub-category strategy development and execution to meet or exceed savings targets.
• Monitor supplier markets and identify opportunities from product offerings or market changes.
• Collaborate with the Global Category Lead to develop and review category plans.
• Influence stakeholders and apply various commercial models to achieve optimal business outcomes.
• Ensure alignment on category decisions with key stakeholders and support policy influence.
• Assist in Supplier Management and manage sourcing project pipelines to meet savings goals.
• Communicate category concepts effectively to the business.
• Ensure accurate category data and compliance with governance frameworks.
• Drive best practices and compliance with Source to Pay processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven ability to develop and manage sub-category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Advanced analytical skills, particularly with TCO models.
• Deep understanding of supplier markets and trends.
• Strong experience in stakeholder management and project execution.
• Expertise in risk mitigation and supplier relationship management.
• Excellent communication skills and governance framework knowledge.
• Forward-thinking approach to innovation and continuous process improvement.
