Senior Operational Analyst

London, Hybrid 3 days a week

£642.16 Umbrella p/d

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Liquidity and Loans Governance Senior Operational Analyst to join HSBC. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of liquidity loans, loan contracts, and a background in Business Analysis (BA), preferably within treasury or liquidity functions. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring governance consistency across our global operations and contributing to the development of key business requirement documents, including our Playbook and Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ).

Key Responsibilities:

Governance & PMO Support:

• Provide governance support across the group, ensuring consistency in processes and documentation.

• Log and manage risks and issues, ensuring they are clearly communicated and understood within the team.

• Collaborate with global teams (US, India, Central Europe, Hong Kong) to align on governance practices and drive consistency.

• Utilize Clarity to track and manage project progress, pushing stakeholders in the right direction as needed.

• Compile and prepare SteerCo and Working Group packs, ensuring all materials are accurate and reflect the current status of the project.

Business Analysis:

• Contribute to the development of business requirement documents, including the Playbook and DDQ.

• Understand and document the installation process, ensuring all functional requirements are captured.

• Work closely with stakeholders to identify and manage governance documents, particularly in relation to MSII (management and self-identifying issues)

• Ensure all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and adheres to governance standards.

Required Experience:

• Strong understanding of liquidity loans and loan contracts, with experience in a variety of loan types.

• Demonstrated experience working within a bank, specifically in commercial or corporate banking.

• Background in Business Analysis, particularly within treasury or liquidity functions.

• Experience in a governance role, with a mix of PMO and analyst responsibilities.

• Familiarity with Clarity and governance processes, particularly in logging risks and issues.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in a liquidity-specific role.

• Experience working in a global team, coordinating across multiple regions.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex risks and issues clearly.

• Critical thinking and the ability to push stakeholders towards successful outcomes.

• High attention to detail, particularly in documentation and governance management.
