Traded Counterparty Credit Risk Manager
London Hybrid, 2 days per week
Contract till the end of December
Role Summary:
Roll of person undertaking a Traded Credit Risk Manager to support the Global Traded Risk team throughout the CCR Project Jasmine review by driving forward the Global TRP team throughout the period.
Role will support Senior Management on subjects including;
• Delivery of assurance programme as part of Jasmine
• Provide relevant programme documentation based on requests from assurance and external audit as part of the programme
• Global Traded Risk Process Management/Review of data Validation for measures such as EEPE, EE and Counterparty Credit Risk RWA
• Attestation of daily Counterparty Credit Risk movements
• Driving Global alignment and projects including ETD IMM and Financing measures
• Oversight of daily credit limit excesses in order to identify and report any unauthorized trades for multi balance sheet.
• Provide support to the Global Markets front office with regard to credit limit excess referrals, and guidance on credit exposure calculation methods.
• Review of MI & reports for senior management, Front Office, Relationship Managers
• Provide day-to-day credit risk measurement, reporting and analysis for WMR management, and ensure internal controls in line with internal & external regulations.
• Acts as a supervisor to the team, located nearshore, ensuring and reviewing the daily BAU efficiently.
Role Responsibilities:
The role holder will contribute to a strong and robust Traded Credit Risk function via supporting the following key responsibilities:
• Teams oversight of excess positions to ensure sales/trader adherence to policy.
• Contribute to delivery of Globally consistent Target Operating Models for existing process and to be delivered initiatives.
• Review of Credit risk measures for multiple balance ensuring accuracy for inputs into RWA calculations.
• Oversight of MI to assist in the identification and management of adverse risk trends or concentrations within the portfolio.
• Active involvement in the global and regional implementation of strategic and tactical systems, processes and reporting on behalf of TCRC.
• Streamline Traded Counterparty Credit Risk processes between the main European hubs (London, Paris and Germany) along with Global Hubs.
• Ensure Data Regulatory Reporting and Traded Risk Nearshore team provide service in data quality, integrity and completeness covers the increasing needs of Traded Risk

In providing support to the Global Head of Traded Credit Risk Process and European Head of Traded Risk Process (CCR and MR), the role holder will, at various points, play a pivotal role in the following processes within TCRC:-
• Ensuring the correctness of exposures in Traded Credit systems, which is essential from the point of view of the Front Office’s day-to-day operations, as well as the ongoing management and reporting of risk internally and to the regulators
• Knowledge around data quality, including counterparty static data, hierarchies, and inter-system reconciliations, which is essential for the achieving the above.
• As TCRC is essentially the intermediary between the Risk Managers and Change the Bank/Risk IT teams, because TCRC typically drives the Traded Credit projects, the role will involve liaising with CTB and Risk IT in terms of UAT testing, post-implementation reviews, etc.
• As TCRC is responsible for the day-to-day running of the vast majority of Traded Credit processes, the team will typically be the focus of Business Risk and Control Management (BRCM) and Operational Risk (ORIC) reviews.
Skills / Experience:
• 5 years + experience in Financial Markets environment in a similar Control function.
• Good knowledge of Traded counterparty credit risk concepts & systems.
• Broad knowledge of asset classes, Rates, FX, equities and credit products, and their implications in terms of counterparty and portfolio risk.
• Capacity to develop tools/MI with VBA/VB, C++, languages (mainly SQL/Excel) preferable but not essential.
• Understanding of HSBC Processes/Procedures is desired
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong capacity to manage high volume work flows
• Ability to prioritise resources and work flows.
• Good organisational skills to deal with numerous high volume processes.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a challenging and demanding environment.
