Role Title: RIVA Product Owner

Location: London

Pay Rate: £660 Per Day PAYE / or £847 Per Day Umbrella / Inside IR35

Duration: 6 Months

We are currently seeking an experience individual with a proven track record of delivery to join our team as RIVA Product Owner (PO) within the Intraday liquidity programme.

Role Purpose

The RIVA PO will manage Treasury’s intraday liquidity tool – Realtime Intraday Visualization Tool (“RIVA”.) The recipients of this tool are primarily Markets Treasury (“MKTY”) and Assets and Liquidity Management (“ALM”) amongst others.

MKTY is the market-facing arm of Treasury, sitting within the Treasury and Global Banking & Markets business. It has a presence in each HSBC operating entity and has responsibility for managing the bank’s liquidity, funding and interest rate risk. MKTY trades Money Market, FX, Fixed Income, securities and derivative products, facing Group Affiliates and Counterparties as principal for the bank. The ALM teams sit within Treasury and are responsible for the Banks Liquidity Risk Management.

The role holder will work closely with the following representatives in the following areas:

· Functional project teams (IT, Ops, Finance, Risk and Compliance)

· Funding and liquidity strategy team.

· Data and remediation team.

· Group Treasury (including MKTY and ALM).

The role is for a Product Owner based in London, with the primary responsibility of working closely with IT development teams and business teams to create and maintain product backlog according to business expectations. This aspect of the role is very important as the candidate will need to be familiar with cash management, intraday liquidity and Treasury. This will include having a good understanding of how cash forecast projections and real time monitoring of cash are managed within a Bank. To be successful the candidate must be comfortable with managing and interpreting all types of data, as well as being self-sufficient and being able to operate in a team environment.

In addition, the role holder will carry out the following:

Key responsibilities:

· Manage the product vision with RIVA recipients.

· Collaborate with internal contacts to analyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals.

· Ownership of the delivery roadmap.

· Key point of contact for business via IT and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project.

· Management RIVA communication and backlog.

· Plan and prioritize product (RIVA) development and produce feature backlog.

· Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams.

· Co-ownership of Business Readiness, inc Daily Comms / SNOW Requests / Other Comms.

· Own delivery of RIVA Training, Training Curriculum and Training Aides/Manual.

· Own and manage RIVA Data Visas inc.

· Own and manage RIVA BoW, including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Backlog, Creating Epics and User Stories.

· Provide RIVA usage statistics.

· Implement Data Governance and Controls into RIVA.

· Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.

· Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.

· Serve as product ambassador internally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.

· Articulating business requirements into technical deliverables.

· Testing and signing off on technical deliverables.

· Maintaining accurate records and being comfortable in providing updates as required.

· Ensure dependencies with other functional areas are fully considered, planned for and delivered against when delivering.

· Maintaining and updating procedures.

· Develop a detailed plan to track progress within the allocated budget.

· Lead project resources and vendors for execution of funded deliverables.

· Ensure project scope and objectives are understood to all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility across all IT stakeholders.

· Report and escalate to management as needed.

· Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.

· Perform risk management to minimize upcoming project risks.

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (business cases, test cases, approvals etc).

Requirements/ Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications as per job spec

· Degree level education preferably with a professional qualification and with substantial experience (ideally 15 years+) in a markets business or related industries either within HSBC or with a relevant market competitor.

· Excellent team player with proactive and self-motivated attitude

· Treasury or Cash Management experience with focus on Intraday Liquidity and/or Funding topics

· Familiarity of major global FMI’s including both payment and security settlement systems

· Familiarity of front to back Financial Markets processes and infrastructure

· Strong background in acting in a business analyst capacity.

· Comfortable engaging both verbally and in written form with stakeholders

· Excellent MS Suite product knowledge.
