Business Manager

£706.38 per day Umbrella

10 – 12 Month Contract

London (Hybrid Working)

HSBC are currently searching for a Business Manager to join their team in London to cover for a maternity leave. Within this role, you would be responsible for providing commercial and operational business management support to a client group as part of the Global HR CAO team.

Role Responsibilities:

• Represents Global HR CAO by providing Global HR CAO services to a specific client group.

• Provides commercial and operational business management support to client group as part of the Global HR CAO team.

• Drives cross-regional collaboration and execution of key strategic initiatives.

• Supports matters related to Finance, Risk & Compliance, Operations, Human Resources and Communications etc., for the Global HR COO/CAO.

• Oversee or lead in execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims.

• Appropriate management of the client group’s regulatory and legal responsibilities.

• Lead business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning

• Inform and influence the decision making of leadership positions by use of management information, business performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy.

• Support the maintenance of risk and control activities, including facilitating discussions with SMEs, coordinating the review and update of the People Risk Management Policy and FIM Procedures.

• Oversee the review and ongoing monitoring of Entity Level Controls.

• Lead in forums and committees to represent view of business area.

• Lead the creation of implementing and monitoring of internal governance activities.

• Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance.

• Working with external service providers to manage or evaluate their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured.

Experience Required:

• Strong financial management – preferably experience of creating and managing Financial Resource Plans.

• Financial Analyst, Financial Planning qualified background a plus.

• Strong presentation and writing skills.

• Solid Excel skills for the purposes of reporting and analysis.

• Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.

• Strong team player who is able to work independently and meet tight deadlines under pressure.

• Extensive experience in project management and execution.

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task.

• Navigation and stakeholder management.

• Being able to work in a fast paced environment is essential.
