Job Title: Senior Consultant Specialist, GFX Calculations

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Rate: Up to £700.00 per day via an approved umbrella company

Location: Hybrid, London on a Monday and Friday (other days optional)

What you’ll do:

Join us to work with talents from different geographical locations in the Global FX Calculations team to develop, improve and maintain the bank's own solution and platform for post-trading risk and PnL calculations, which plays a critical role in trader's day-to-day activity and the bank's fulfillment to regulatory requirements. We are looking for self-driven teammate to join our group, who can demonstrate proactiveness and collaborate efficiently with team in various time-zones.

Responsibilities:

This is an IC-aligned technical role, with no scope for direct reports and with a strong focus on creating and improving best practices in the team such as design, development, and testing.

·     Develop, maintain, and enhance GFX calculation applications with a focus on high-availability, high-performance, scalability, resiliency and observability

·     Provide DevOps expertise using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and GCP for the integration of software solutions

·     Actively participate in testing cycles and take an active role in production support tasks as required

·     Collaborate with stakeholders to address business requirements and priorities with output including requirement analysis, architecture / solution design, coding, testing, releasing and defect fixing

Skills:

·     Advanced Java (1.8,17+) technical skills focusing on back-end implementations with HTTPS, RESTful API in the context of micro-services

·     Experience with columnar and row-based database solutions

·     Strong experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools including JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and GCP Cloud

·     Familiarity with distributed computing, data processing, and data storage technologies

·     Experience with production support, including monitoring and defect fixes

·     Strong knowledge of financial markets and products, with a specific focus on FX asset classes.

·     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Additional/Good to have:

·     Experience with Apache and other open-source projects e.g. Apache Airflow, Apache Superset (Python)

·     Experience in building HPC distributed systems

·     Domain knowledge in risk and PnL calculations, especially with regulatory scenarios related calculations such as FRTB is a plus
