Title: Digital Product Manager – Public Web Services

Location: London (Hybrid)

Length: 6 months with scope to extend

Rate: £550 - £700 via umbrella

 

Vacancy Purpose:

This role holder is accountable for the designing, building and running digital journeys and developing product functionality to enhance our global public website (PWS). This involves being part of cross functional teams (composed of analysts, designers, scrum teams) across different locations operating in a lean agile product development environment.

Vacancy Background

  •  The role sits within the Global Public Web Services team who are driving digital performance for DMES Markets as well as differentiated experience for HSBC customers.
  •  HSBC is and has invested heavily in Digital capabilities in many areas of the business, there is a growing need to increase the number of specialists we have to develop our strategic optimisation capabilities to compliment these investments.
  •  The global nature of the role requires the ability to support and engage with cross-functional teams from multiple markets and balance the need for regionalisation with the drive to develop a global Public Website that can be scaled and operated internationally.
  •  The nature of the role may require some travel from time to time and flexibility in daily schedule to allow for regular interaction with team members and stakeholders from all regions.

 

Your Background

  •  Strong analytical skills, being able to translate business problems into a set of digital requirements.
  •  Ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders to agree on scope and requirements.
  •   Consumer financial services industry experience optional and understanding of Digital businesses such as travel, lifestyle, and/or other consumer product development is an advantage.
  •   Good communication skills for navigating through business requirements, differences of opinion on approach.
  •  Experience of working in an extended Product Team to drive roadmaps and development activity.
  •  Experience of AGILE processes – preferably SAFE.
  •  Strong knowledge of customer journey optimisation and insight-driven hypothesis generation.
  •  Strong technical knowledge on technical requirement gathering.
  •  Good awareness of digital channels, including technical, commercial, market place and customer considerations.
  •  Strong communication skills for navigating through business requirements, ability to involve others in discussions, asking for their suggestions and steering them to a mutually acceptable position.
  •  Innovative – the ability to approach things differently or do different things to deliver goals.
  • Strong team player, highly collaborative
  •  Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe).
