Key responsibilities and Role Information

The role is within the HSBC AMG (Asset Management Group) Data Organization and reports to the Global Data Change Manager. The role holder will support the Global Data Change Manager, to ensure change within the Data Managements Team and wider teams is aligned to the Business needs through analysis and test verification.


Role Profile:

·      Develop good understanding of the HSBC AMG Data Domains, Architecture, Services and Governance Framework and support their adoption within AMG

·      Develop an in depth understanding of the Investment Data Services and build strong relationships with the service providers and internal stakeholders

·      Work with the aligned Project teams towards the implementation of a new Middle Office System across multiple locations.

·      Work with the aligned Project Teams to define requirements, meansure impact and confirm the results.

·      Work with the aligned Project Teams to define Terms of Reference and BAU Operating Models.

·      Fully understand the process for adding and removing new or existing data sets from the AMG data domains.

·      Investigate and perform root cause analysis around data integrity issues and process failures, and support the implementation of solutions via the appropriate change forums

 

Knowledge and Experience / Qualifications

·      Experience within an Asset Management organization

·      Excellent knowledge of Investment Data

·      Experience with Middle Office Implementation and development

·      Experience working within and across large Project Teams

·      Excellent written skills, with the ability to condense multiple inputs into written requirements

·      Experience working with data

·      Experience with test planning, execution and defect tracking

·      Experience and drive to defect/buy tracking, retest and resolution

·      Good written and verbal communication for stakeholder and vendor interaction

·      Strong Analytical/problem solving skills including use of MS Excel (including vlookups, if functions)

·      Ability to reconcile datasets

·      Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks

·      Experience with Word, Visio, PowerPoint

·      Good SQL skills

·      Project lifecycle – both waterfall and agile.
