Job Title: Liquidity Test Manager

Location: London

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Rate: Up to £798.00 per day via an approved umbrella company

The Liquidity Test Manager is responsible for managing all testing aspects of the end-to-end Liquidity projects. This will include overall management of data validation, solution functionality validation, report / extract validation, user tooling or automation validation activities and supporting the facilitation of UAT / Dress Rehearsal cycles whilst ensuring that all testing deliverables adhere to the HSBC Change Framework and are in line with the HSBC Risk & Control Framework. Responsibilities will include.

•    Definition and agreement of Test Strategy, incorporating Unit Test, Functional Test, UAT and Change and Implementation phases.

•    Day-to-day management of the Testing team, including workload management and issue resolution as required.

•    Validate the IT functional designs and Business requirements for in-scope release components.

•    Overall management of the testing and defect resolution processes to ensure achieve fully functional system solutions to meet in-scope Business Requirements

•    Facilitate issue resolution to ensure that the project schedule remains on track and that functional issues are solved through appropriate, agreed solutions.

•    Work closely with diverse Business and IT teams, to ensure testing strategies and approaches are agreed and any issues or defects are successfully resolved.

•    Gain a detailed knowledge of Business requirements and understand how solutions delivered through the project will meet them.

•    Be conversant with the principles of Liquidity data production and reporting and understand the functions of relevant Business stakeholder areas.

•    Support successful Business Test phases, both within the project and externally involving stakeholder areas (UAT, Dress Rehearsal)

•    Work with dynamic plans in a fast-moving environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting course where necessary, being sure to maintain alignment with other project work streams.

•    Support the Product Team in executing the change programme validation strategy.

•    Apply understanding of different test approaches, tools and techniques to participate in test preparation and execution activities.

•    Support completion of the implementation entry and exit/sign-off governance. Support the execution of exit deliverables – completion of scripts, completeness of results, exit reports, sign off meetings etc.

•    Execute deliverables in alignment with Change Framework standards.

•    Support the internal and external audit requirements where required. Ensure the relevant controls are met.

Technical Skill Requirements

•    An understanding of the principles of Finance data and reporting

•    Proficient in interrogating databases via SQL queries

•    An understanding of systems delivery lifecycles and testing principles

•    Proficient in the use of test tools (such as JIRA) and testing processes (e.g. defect management)

•    Be able to formulate test strategies and confident in running a successful test phase

•    An appreciation of systems and data architectures

•    Proven flexibility and leadership track record in dynamic environments, with the ability to support & direct team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, both locally and offshore and to maintain a global perspective.

•    Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.

•    Strong leadership, management, decision-making, and interpersonal skills including the ability to listen to and influence stakeholders at all levels, and to build consensus among a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.

•    Proven ability to provide expert leadership to continuously improve testing practices.

•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, Project)

Educational Requirements

Educated to minimum of degree level or equivalent

Experience

•    Financial Services testing experience across both internal reporting and regulatory requirements

•    Experience in testing, driven by IT systems implementation or enhancement, across a large organisation

•    Experience of working in a large banking organisation preferred
