Job Title: Supplier Management/Third Party Management Lead

Pay Rate: £650 Per Day PAYE / Inside IR35

Location: London

 

 

Role Purpose:


HSBC Wealth and Personal Bank is undergoing a programme which requires an experienced supplier relationship manager with expert skills in third party risk management. 

 

As part of the Programme governance there is a centralized workstream, Vendor and Partnerships which has the following objectives

 

Key Accountabilities:


·      Lead Roll-Out of Supplier Management Framework in NEW ring-fenced programme

·      Establish Supplier Governance & Oversight structure for ‘Material’ Suppliers

·      Custodian of Supplier Mgmt Policy, Process and systems

·      Develop Operating Model, RACI and Resource Plan

·      Develop Supplier Management Procedure document (handbook) with key controls

·      Executive Reporting of Supplier KPI/KRI’s

·      Provide guidance to SRM’s (Business owners)

·      Coordinate Due Diligence for Onboarding Suppliers and ongoing Supplier Assurance

·      Ensure tracking and monitoring of Third-Party Risks

 

Project/Supplier Management Skills and Qualifications:


  • Strong experience and understanding of Supplier management, Supplier KPI’s and commercial management of Supplier’s 
  • Multiple experience of working on Large IT Programme’s and working at leadership level providing Supplier and Project updates.  
  • Strong understanding and application of Project Management discipline and portfolio management
  • Solid working experience in business or technical analysis within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of technology and IT applications, up to date with latest technology trends and ideas in the wider market.
  • Experience in presenting to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • The ability to build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the project
  • Strong Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
  • University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements for financial services

Operational Effectiveness & Control:


  • Lead/ support as necessary the creation and maintenance of a pipeline of projects to achieve or exceed agreed savings target for category.
  • Understand complex business problems, apply advanced analytical thinking / market knowledge and drive the most appropriate business outcome.


Major Challenges


  • HSBC large scale programmes that move at pace and need support to move at pace. Maintain credibility and relevance with businesses so that the category management team becomes true business partners and acknowledged as a clear benefit.
  • Rolling out and implement a supplier management framework in aggressive timescales
  • Develop a reputation for delivery that quickly earns credibility in the business community, but also has clear strategic direction.
  • Understand the internal dynamics of different business functions and build quick relationships to enable execution.
