Basel 3.1 Global Test Director

£1091.67 p/d Umbrella

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Basel 3.1 Global Test Director


Role Purpose


The Basel 3.1 programme covers the transposition of extensive, new Basel requirements into national law by countries globally. The implementation timeline will be phased, with some jurisdictions expected to be implemented through the period from 2024 to 2025. Final legislation will inform the ultimate implementation timelines. This is a significant, multi-year programme of work for the Group, which impacts all business lines and functions, and is categorized as a High Priority Programme for the Group.  

 

This role is required to ensure that all delivery across the Basel 3.1 Programme is underpinned by a robust testing strategy and approach, covering all regulators and risk types, including:

 

Primary areas of focus will be:

·Developing, maintaining and evolving the Global programme test strategy to ensure continuous improvement and ongoing refinement to test objectives, KPIs and sign off processes, for each global go-live (for example, HKMA, PRA, ECB)

·Working closely with all Global Business teams to ensure a robust and comprehensive data testing & validation approach is in place. This will include leading regular forums and workshops with London based teams to drive execution.

· Day to day management of integrated testing activities, covering plan management, status reporting and representing Finance in a range of senior management meetings.

· Taking full ownership and accountability of Finance led Global Dry Run processes, co-ordinating all teams and reporting status to Senior Management as required.

 

This is a critical role that aims to significantly uplift the testing capabilities across the B3.1 programme.


Experience / Skills required

 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with senior executives and across geographies
  • Experience with hands on testing in a global programme
  • Experience of running testing in global programmes, cross functions and geographies
  • First class writing and editing skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong self-organisation and communication project management skills, drive and energy
  • Strong understanding of testing in global, cross discipline programmes
  • A sound understanding of banking and risk management
