Employee Relations GSO & Head of Policy   

UK/ Hybrid

£802.70/ Day

6 Month Contract

Our client HSBC are currently seeking an experienced ER GSO & Head of Policy to join their team in a UK office/remote working, this contract will be for 6 months with a review to be extended.

 

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. We facilitate talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

 

This role leads Group ER development and mobilisation of effective policies and processes (excluding conduct and concerns related processes) globally. 

 

In this role, you will:

•           Be part of the Employee Relations Global Leadership team, helping to shape the Employee Relations proposition, and owning the areas of policy and process.

•           Define global ER policy standards and framework and drive simplification and standardisation by leading the transformative policy project “LIME”, delivering a simpler customer experience & consistent ‘look & feel’

•           Develop ER policies and frameworks and a community of best practice, including delivering f ER policy and process simplification and standardisation and providing support as required to the Energise for Growth agenda.

•           Act as a member of the HR GSO community, working in partnership with other HR colleagues to deliver tactical and/or transformational change initiatives that improve the customer experience across HR

•           Provide initial advice on ER considerations from both a policy and process perspective for global initiatives, working with Regional Heads of ER to obtain more detailed local advice as required. May include representing ER at global forums as they arise, for example in relation to Covid, or the Ukraine crisis

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•           Experience advising on a full range of employee relations issues is essential for this role.

•           Experience of HR systems or the GSO structure and forums would be advantageous

•           Experience of managing and evolving policy would be advantageous

•           Experience advising on international ER issues would be advantageous .

•           Strong written and verbal communication skills is essential for this role.

 

The base location for this role can be the UK, but other global locations will be considered. The successful candidate will need to commit to being available for GSO calls which typically take place between 10am and 4pm UK time, including Fridays. There are hybrid working arrangements in place for this role.
