Engagement Manager

Rate: £350.00 PAYE P/D or £449.51 Umbrella P/D

Hybrid – 8 Canada Square 2 to 3 working from the office

Duration – 6 months with the possibility of extensions

They are currently seeking an experienced individual in the role of Engagement Manager.

 

Role Purpose:

 

The job holder will be a key role working under the guidance of the Senior Communication Manager within Digital Banking Services [DBS] of HSBC. The role holder will help drive employee engagement in line with the communications vision and priorities for DBS. You will have responsibility for contributing to and supporting DBS internal communications plans, projects, policies and campaigns linked to the strategy, purpose and transformation agenda. You will work as part of an integrated, flexible team that uses agile and traditional working methods to support a wide range of DBS programmes and initiatives.

 

You will support the tactical runway of engagement activities for DBS, including the internal and external events programme and digital communications channels for DBS. In line with the strategic communications plan, and working closely with the Senior Communications Manager, DBS, you will have responsibility for communications planning, content creation, filming, development and maintenance of channels and producing and distributing agreed communication activities.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

·        Supporting the tactical runway of DBS engagement activities in line with HSBC’s global purpose and strategy, and DBS’s business priorities.

·        Support the planning and delivery of global campaigns, including the development of key messages, visual materials, collateral and measurement through content gathering from across the function.

·        Support the development of internal communications products, techniques and channels.

·        Contribute to development and management of global communications channels including digital workplace (intranet, mobile, internal social media).

·        Preparing and sending mass emails using Poppulo.

·        Logistics, diary management and set-up for internal and external DBS events.

·        Supporting the production and distribution of agreed communication activities (for example, newsletters).

·        Preparing presentations and reports as required.

·        Providing ad-hoc administrative support.

·        Track the effectiveness of communication and engagement activities against the agreed plan.

·        Use measurement and insight (including employee engagement data) to inform activities and ensure focus on business outcomes.


Knowledge and Experience:

·        Excellent interpersonal, strategic planning and project management skills.

·        Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·        Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.

·        Ability to work quickly, and manage time and multiple priorities effectively.

·        A proven track record in managing and implementing employee communication plans, translating into solid and practical delivery programmes.

·        Strong stakeholder management skills.

·        Experience of managing events.

·        A strong team player who can work collaboratively with peers.

·        Good knowledge of communication trends and best practice.

·        Good knowledge of financial services industry and global marketplace.
