Our client HSBC are currently seeking an experienced Senior BA/PM to join their team in the Birmingham office/hybrid working, this contract will be for 9 months with a review to be extended.

Senior Project Manager / Business Analyst – UK Data Programme

HSBC UK Data Management supports all 3 of the Protect, Connect and Unlock pillars of the strategy.
This role will sit within HSBC UK, tasked to work alongside the HSBC Group’s Data Management.  The jobholder is expected to be self-sufficient, motivated, and able to communicate confidently at all levels of the organization and across multiple cultures.

The jobholder will work in close partnership with the UK Data Programme Manager, GB/GF representatives in the entity, and the Group Data Utility in implementing data usage controls (DUSE) for our key processes within the HSBC UK. Furthermore, the jobholder will need to be flexible and complement the work of Group Data management in the entity under the remit of HSBC Functional Instructional Manuals and in liaison with the Regional Head of DAO.
The role holder will be responsible for:
•            Accountability for the delivery of DUSE for one of the workstreams (Wealth and Retail / Commercial Banking / Compliance and Regulatory)
•            Shaping and driving the plan, tracking and reporting progress, manage issues and escalations as appropriate
•            Working with process owners to understand how the processes work, where the boundaries sit, and identification of data consumed and produced by the process
•            Working with IT to understand and map data flows, and complete DUSE templates where needed
•            Briefing stakeholders ahead of implementation on overall context, objectives, plan and expectations
•            Attending key governance forums (e.g. UK CDEC) and providing updates to senior stakeholders on progress
•            Facing off to key pod leads in the Data Utility to ensure alignment on approaches and timelines

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
•            Analytical & IT understanding
•            Understanding of process or process mapping
•            Stakeholder management skills in making change happen at HSBC
•            Understanding of data management

Nice to have:
•            Understanding of customer journeys, e.g. onboarding/ credit decisioning
•            Understanding of regulatory reporting/ regulatory returns

The base location for this role is Birmingham and the role is hybrid (2-3 days in office per week)
