Role Summary:


HSBC are currently searching for an ambitious, analytical and organised Executive Assistant to report to the MD, CIO Global Operations and Automation.


Role Purpose:


The role reports to MD, CIO Global Operations and Automation. 

 

Executive Assistants provide secretarial/administrative support. Role holder will exercise confidentiality and diplomacy skills. The successful candidate may also oversee small projects and have minor decision making authority/autonomy. 


The role holder will carry out tasks such as:

  • Organising schedules, maintaining diaries, maintaining inbox management, arranging travel and accommodation
  • Manage expenses
  • Coordinating activities, events, resources, meetings, services and managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting administration, composing presentations, drafting reports and assisting with key documents such as organization charts
  • Sending communications out of MD’s inbox as needed
  • Adhere to HSBC policies and maintain confidentiality on sensitive activities in the remit area
  • Other ad-hoc support as necessary


Key Responsible

  • Driving the adoption of the HSBC Ways of Operating and the transition from a project to a product mindset with VS stakeholders
  • To ensure strong and effective operational control whilst supporting a delivery agenda
  • Consideration of multiple functional delivery teams operating across multiple geographies
  • Challenging ways of working which do not conform to the highest operational standards
  • Knowledge and Experience:Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group.
  • Pro-active and conscientious. 
  • Ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Technologically-savvy with Zoom (or equivalent) video conferencing tools, Microsoft Teams (or equivalent collaborative tools), Microsoft Suite of applications
  • Good relationship management and at managing relationships remotely.
  • Proven abilities in working across cultures.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
