Business Analyst – Omnia Assurance

£475 PAYE / £616.71 Umbrella per day
Contract until end of 2022 but will be extended well into 2023
Our client HSBC are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team in the London office/Hybrid working, this contract will be until the end of 2022 with likely extensions well into 2023.
Role Purpose
Business Analyst within the Central Team of the Omnia programme – a key strategic initiative, delivering a singular golden source of client returns information to facilitate improved client and capital decision making.
Workstream objective:
• Ensure the Omnia capability and key supporting processes are effective and efficient
Role responsibilities include:
• Analytical support to Business Assurance pod lead, as driven by programme-level priorities, including:
o Coordination of Omnia Governance
o Programme strategy and implementation
o Comms strategy and implementation
o Business case and budgetary approval
o Resourcing, people administration and supplier management
• Ensure that all key stakeholders and business areas are appropriately considered and engaged in requirements prioritisation, funding and comms
• Adherence to workstream governance structures and attendance to relevant forums
• Internal workstream MI and wider business engagement as required
Principal Accountabilities
• Support the Business Assurance Lead to ensure the delivery of all business outcomes committed by the programme
• Support the Business Assurance Lead to ensure benefits realisation for upstream funding and outsourced delivery
• Effective management of workstream and programme RAID
• Supporting the Global Banking Management Office in driving the client returns information agenda
Major Challenges
• To be determined based on programme-level priorities
Role Context
• Close working relationships across lines of business, Omnia change delivery team and IT
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
The role holder will ideally have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong PowerPoint (required)
• Corporate/internal comms and governance experience (required)
• Proven track record of complex project delivery in finance (required)
• Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries (geographical and business)
• Resourceful, creative and inquisitive approach to operating with complexity and ambiguity (required)
• Highly motivated, entrepreneurial and autonomous, with ability to prioritise (required)
• Demonstrable ability to effectively balance risk, time and business need (required)
• Keen attention to detail, structured and diligent approach (required)
• Target operating model experience (preferable)
