Role – Business Analyst
Rate – £500 - £600 p/d PAYE based on experience
Location – London, Canada Square (Hybrid)
Duration – 6 months with scope for extension

Role Purpose:
Finance has mobilised an innovative change programme to transform the Finance operating model by leveraging cloud technology. Finance Cloud Transformation will rationalise operational processes, automate data and report production, to deliver comprehensive data to our internal and external stakeholders for analysis and reporting. The programme will entail migration of core Finance data and processes to the cloud, with an initial phase to implement a standard global operating process for Finance actuals report production, followed closely by forecast data and report production.
The vision for the Finance on the Cloud Programme is “to deliver standardised global processes that leverage a single dataset for reporting, analysis and forecasting.” Key programme outcomes are to deliver a singular automated data production processing capability for actuals and forecasting, correction of data once for all downstream calculations, reports and outputs, introducing automated preventative and detective controls, significantly reduce manual activity in the run-time actuals process to allow the production of all actuals outputs by working day 5 for a monthly process.
Key Accountabilities:
- Gather requirements and translate such into actionable deliverables for the IT team.
- Attending and leading forums with stakeholders including process owners, business users, and IT teams.
- Planning of workshops/meetings with stakeholders and SMEs to discuss requirements
- Creation and delivery of all functional artefacts.
- Engagement with key stakeholders to playback key project outputs.
- Definition of future state business requirements with full traceability to underlying Operating Model.
- Other supporting activities within the programme as required.
- Willingness to challenge existing procedures and drive changes where required.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Financial and regulatory reporting
- Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
- Business Analysis skills gained in Banking environment
- Understanding of the full project life cycle
- Proven track of working closely with key business users and IT staff.
- Experience within HSBC and understanding the finance function is very advantageous
- Working experience of project methodologies such as agile
- Strong business requirements and functional analysis/Data Analysis skills using MS Viso and Excel and Strong presentation skills using Power Point
- Ability to run workshops and run presentations
