Responsibilities:

 

This role is really responsible for helping procurement functions make better decisions and drive mission critical business outcomes through unlocking business insights from data; this is typically through building visualisations, insights, self-service analytics and building high quality reusable data assets.

We take a customer centric approach, empathizing with our customers to understand their visions and strategy’s and then using this deep understanding to build data-driven insights that drive decisions which lead to meaningful change.

 

This role requires specialist skills in data collection and cleansing, structured and unstructured data analysis, data modelling and analysis plus data visualization (expert skills in Qliksense).


This role is mainly responsible for:

  • Engaging our stakeholders to help capture & refine requirements, ideate, design & deliver Analytics & BI use cases, followed by transitioning to BAU & delivering ongoing product enhancements
  • Performing strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources, validating information, using judgment and statistical tests
  • Developing data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardising data in order to generate actionable insights and address reporting needs

·      Designing and deploying cutting edge Qliksense dashboards that really wow our customers in terms of visual appeal, ease of use and understanding

·      Providing complex business intelligence solutions involving SQL, Python, Alteryx, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies e.g. Big Query

  • Identifying innovative and creative opportunities to develop data insights and maximize data usage to develop new strategies and improve business performance

·      Support migration of existing data sources, reports & insights to GCP

  • Ensuring all dashboards and data assets are thoroughly tested and validated per industry best practice before being released
  • Upskilling on an ongoing basis to also venture into Advanced Analytics and be familiar with data science languages like Python and R

·      Supporting creation of Data Quality rules to bring data under formal governance

·      Building out strong, trusted relationships with our Exco +1 stakeholders and a win-win relationship network across stakeholders and out key partners in IT & the Data & Architecture Office


Technical

  • Expertise and experience in data visualization with advanced Qliksense skills
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a data-related role; data analysis, architecture, data structures & modelling, data governance with hands-on technical experience of using associated technologies
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing principles
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Python a plus
  • Flexibility to work on and learn various technologies
  • Experience with business tools like JIRA, Confluence
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with Data Science concepts and subjects and an ability to up-skill in the future
