Business Analyst
£550.00 PAYE / £714.08 Umbrella
London (Flexible Hybrid)
Contract until October 2023

Role Summary:

HSBC are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team! If successful, you will be working on a the banks Regulatory Reporting Enhancement Programme. Within this position you will be supporting the requirements gathering for a number of areas of the business including Risk, Business, Finance and IT. You would be expected to drive business workshops, prepare test plans and cases and prepare governance documentation in relation to the project.

To be successful in this position, your Core expertise should include Regulatory Rules, Regulatory Reporting, Basel 3 & Basel 3 Reforms regulatory knowledge and executing and delivering complex solutions for the stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day tasks are as follows:

  • Business value and benefits delivery as Business Analyst working on Regulatory Reporting stream.
  • Extensive interactions with Risk, Business, Finance and IT would be required to ensure business requirements are understood and design approaches are agreed with consensus.
  • Extensive analytical work will also be required to support the business requirements and define design concepts.
  • Drive business workshops, solution design and training sessions covering global user community as part of full cycle implementation.
  • Support Project Managers and Project Leads to drive the project plan and related activities such as chair governance forums to prioritise the book of work.
  • Responsible for maintaining requirement traceability matrix and follow up with IT on closure of any open points.
  • Prepare and maintain the Issue tracker and RAID logs associated with the project stream.
  • Lead individual work streams, and understand, track and monitor interdependencies between delivery work streams.
  • Responsible for gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for solutions, where required.
  • Drive business user trainings and project related activities for successful completion of the project.

 

Key Experience / Knowledge:
Experience and skills that are required for this role are as follows:

 

  • Proven experience and expertise in Basel 3 Reforms regulatory knowledge and executing and delivering complex solutions for the stakeholders.
  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst or delivery lead for Credit risk or Market Risk or Capital Management or BASEL II/III Regulatory changes
  • Experience working with Visio
  • Exposure and knowledge of working in BCBS regulations like BCBS 239, 279, 283, 374d etc.
  • Knowledge of RWA and EAD regulatory calculation and reporting requirements
  • Ability to define business requirements for technology improvements relating to capital reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for direct faceoff with Senior business partners (DIR Level) for requirement elicitations
  • Knowledge and practical implementation of structured techniques to support business process improvement
  • Experience of end-to-end transformation from inception through transition
  • Experience of working with onshore/offshore model
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management in a clear, concise manner
  • Proven experience in data applications/ platform development or data related work fields in consulting, or business intelligence
