Procurement Systems & Business Analyst

Rate: £522.50 PAYE P/D or £678.38 Umbrella P/D

Hybrid – 1 day a week at 8 Canada Square

Duration – 6 months [with the possibility of extension]

 

Role Summary:

 

HSBC are currently searching for an ambitious, analytical and organised Business Analyst who shall be responsible for the continued roll-out of a bespoke purchasing system globally. This is a unique opportunity at HSBC to work on a global scale that will take you further within your career.

 

Role Purpose:

 

The Procurement Systems & Business Analyst is a role that will help drive the roll-out of the bespoke Procurement system to further regions and operations teams. They will also drive improvements & efficiencies within the Bank’s global Procure-to-pay processes. The role will involve working closely with IT to ensure changes are deployed in a timely manner to achieve the global procurement agenda.  The role holder will be responsible for addressing the day-to-day management of change initiatives and delivery thereof as well as ensuring the operations teams and end users are adequately trained on new processes and systems.

 

Key Responsible

 

The job holder will be a key role in the roll out of a bespoke purchasing system globally providing functional inputs, as well as driving improvements across the system & processes. This resource will need to be a procurement SME understanding the end-to-end procure to pay processes. They should have a good understanding of change management and transformation, including the stages of a change implementation project (design, build, test, deploy). They must work closely with the global IT team to ensure the business requirements are understood for each region and incorporated into the IT build.  They must be used to working with Procurement ERP systems and willing to quickly understand this bespoke system so they can provide the necessary support. This resource should be able to deal effectively with stakeholders & IT teams globally. They should also be confident in leading requirements gathering, testing and training sessions with stakeholders across a number of regions.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Expertise in the Procurement-to-pay process (also with some understanding of the accounting and financials impacts downstream)
  • Extensive experience of working with ERP system or equivalent, particularly in the Procurement, Payables and Expenses modules
  • Ability to confidently manage stakeholders across a number of regions in order to successfully implement change (IT, Procurement, End Users and more)
  • Experience working with tools such as Jira and Confluence to effectively manage incidents & enhancements
  • Experience working across Global Procurement Transformation
  • Delivering guidance & training to Operational Teams (AP & Procurement) on new processes
  • Experience of end-to-end design, build and test of purchasing processes and systems
  • Ability to accurately capture regulatory requirements whilst still ensuring alignment to global processes
  • Updating procedures and process flows to help implement process changes globally
  • Contributing to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment
  • Suggesting ideas and implementing actions that will improve customer service, quality or the way teams and individuals work together.
  • Experience of building relationships with technology and design teams
