Role Purpose / Day to Day:

 

This role contributes to the planning, design and implementation of one or more Features within a Business Outcome in the programme globally, supporting the Product Owner and the Business Outcome Delivery Lead in the successful execution of the Business Outcome(s).

Execution of the FRTB programme is spread over a number of functional deliveries across the MSS Front Office, Middle Office, Traded Risk, Group Risk Analytics, Product Control, Regulatory Finance, Internal Model Review and the associated technology teams. This role is key in ensuring the overall requirements are routed and accepted by the relevant teams, an end-to-end plan exists which demonstrates a path to the regulatory and other programme outcomes and tracks the execution of this plan. This role needs to work effectively on a Trading Floor, and with Traded Risk and Finance.

Key requirements of the role would be to:

  1. Plan and drive the strategic execution of E2E delivery for the Feature
  2. Provide metrics & reporting management for the Feature(s)
  3. Facilitate and coordinate governance events and ceremonies
  4. Supports the Product Owner and Business Outcome Delivery Lead in defining achievable roadmaps, release and sprint agile delivery roadmaps
  5. Ensure the integration of Feature work is sequenced and prioritised correctly
  6. Sequences and manages outcome RAIDS & dependencies between features and other vertical outcomes

 

Skills/ Experience

  • Experience in a large-scale Front Office and/or Market Risk transformational programme - preferably a large regulatory programme
  • Engagement with stakeholders across Front Office trading and quants; Risk; Technology and Capital Management functions
  • Understanding of how trading and risk management activities are organised into formal units, and the rules/standards around these
  • Experience of managing governance and communication of programme progress, risks, and issues as well as ability to independently navigate them for resolution/escalation
  • Delivery of charge in Front Office, Market Risk including knowledge of FRTB in a large investment bank would be desirable
  • Experience in multiple multi-entity complex transformational programmes
  • Interaction with stakeholders across multiple geographies
  • Knowledge of traded products, market risk methodologies, trading systems, risk management and control processes
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple streams of activities concurrently
  • 10-15 years’ experience minimum
