People & Culture Manager £500.00 PAYE / £649.17 Umbrella

London – Hybrid 2x in office per week

Contract until end of March


Our client are currently searching for a People & Culture Manager to join the team in London. If successful within this position, your responsibilities will be including leading and driving the strategy and execution of activity for a People Pod with Data and Analytics, Attract, Develop & Engage, Talent & Retain, Culture and Org Design. You will be responsible for the delivery of ongoing people processes for Data & Architecture Office. You would also be responsible for supporting the drive towards community and collaboration; developing a community of data professionals who collaborate across boundaries and share best practice / experience to build skills and expertise.


Role Purpose/Responsibilities:

· Develop initiatives to attract diverse talented colleagues within data and analytics..(Attract Pod)

· Build and implement plans to develop the data and analytics community to meet our current and future capability requirements. (Develop & Engage Pod)

· Own the retention strategy so that we have the talent and capability that we require within data and analytics in the right locations (Talent & Retain Pod)

· Carry out Org Design so that we have the required capabilities and services to deliver the HSBC Data Strategy Goals in the most simplest and efficient way. (Org Design Pod)

· Define and implement initiatives for your assigned POD, in line with HR Guidance,

· Collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team to progress broader initiatives including but not limited to deliverables across Attract, Develop & Engage, Talent & Retain Culture, Org Design and Comms.;

· Define and deliver insights and metrics that monitor our execution progress against the Connect pillar of the HSBC Data Strategy

· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and raising the standards of excellence across our Data organisation.


Skills/ Experience

· Previous experience within HR role of function.

· Ability to distil and synthesis complex and varied data into actionable insights and recommendations.

· Evidence of promoting positive change in processes, procedures, products, services etc. to deliver financial, people or efficiency goals.

· Evidence of designing and implementing initiatives to increase professional excellence and capability across a breadth of roles within a matrixed organisation.

· Strategic imperatives and best practice relating to strategic human resource management and associated frameworks (desirable)

· Experience in driving, communication and providing talent management to senior managers in a global organisation

· Ability to prioritise workload and respond to changing and varied demands. Recognise and act upon timely escalation of issues.

· Experience of Project / Change management – confident in challenging business processes.
