Redress Business Analyst
£270.00 PAYE / £350.55 Umbrella
London (Hybrid Working Model – 4x a month in the office)
Contract until 23/12/2022

Role Summary:

HSBC are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join their team! If successful, you will be working within the UK CMB Redress team which is responsible for assessing, validating, and prioritising new and emerging redress issues. You would be required to collaborate with stakeholders across all segments and products to ensure that the bank pays back customers who have suffered detriment due to errors as quickly and efficiently as possible. Furthermore, within this position you would take principal responsibility of managing the analysis of HSBC processes and to oversee and manage associated activities during change implementation. You may be located in a variety of areas within HSBC, including a number of projects and established BAU teams allowing you to gain experience across a number of HSBC areas. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

 

  • Work on a range of redress-related data sets, implementing multiple QA data checks and reconciliations
  • Facilitate communications concerning redress
  • Coordinate work stream meetings to ensure that clear actions and plans are unanimously taken
  • Record and contribute to performance and testing where needed for projects
  • Facilitate successful delivery of project requirements to meet client specification
  • Outline and administer requisite training when needed and make sure training needs for new projects are available
  • Ensure smooth transition from Project to Support with necessary documentation
  • Complete and document any process mapping and process re-design/improvement opportunities accordingly

Knowledge and Experience:
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Must have technical Business Analysis skills and experience of implementing in a timely manner through effective interaction with multiple, diverse stakeholders in large complex organisations
  • Advanced Excel expertise with experience of cross-spreadsheet comparisons, pivot tables, matching formulas, vlookups, If statements, data cleansing etc.
  • Confident in discussing technical matters with Analytics Team
  • Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. Financial Services (Commercial Banking experience preferred)
  • Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Business Analyst on major project initiatives ideally within change or transformation
  • Expert user of relevant software packages, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Experience working in relevant environment(s), i.e. with operational areas e.g. contact centre, mailing house, case management teams, analytics, legal and compliance
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others’ compliance with relevant regulatory processes
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and follow them through to resolution accurately and in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of SAS, SQL or VBA would be beneficial
