Software Category Procurement / Programme Manager

£650.00 PAYE / £815.87 Umbrella

London or Sheffield or Birmingham (Flexible Hybrid)

Contract till end of 2022

Role Summary:

HSBC are currently searching for an ambitious individual to join HSBC as a Software Category Procurement Manager. If successful in this position, you will be required to support the Global Category Manager in a specific sub-category area within the software space. You will be required to cover all commodities within this sub-category, negotiate with senior stakeholder, analyse and carry out cost-out processes on a number on contracts and support the country Heads of Procurement and their Sourcing Execution Leads.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Role Responsibilities:

·         Create and continually review forward-looking category plans that use the full range of supply and demand-side levers

·         Develop influential senior level relationships with designated businesses and functions on behalf of all the Procurement sub-functions

·         Lead strategy and planning for a Procurement sub-category to deliver competitive advantage for HSBC business through cost savings, lifecycle value generation, demand management and innovation

·         Influence the businesses and drive the application of a variety of commercial models to drice the most appropriate business outcomes

·         Ensure alignment with all key stakeholders within Procurement and the businesses / functions on category decisions

·         Continually monitor buying channel compliance for the business / function with whom they own the Procurement relationship and driving corrective action as necessary

·         Drive business outcomes and behaviours with SMEs expertise to drive value through the category planning lifecycle

Key Experience / Skills:

Experience and skills that are required for this role are as follows:

·         Experience working with large scale suppliers on large projects

·         Significant experience working within IT software / Procurement

·         Experience working on global projects

·         Dynamic / proactive / Enthusiastic person

·         Experience leading large, complex negotiations on software applications and implementation services

·         Experience in leading Supplier Management and third party risk frameworks
