Role Purpose/Responsibilities:
This is a new position which presents a great opportunity to shape the role. We currently don’t have specialist engagement expertise within the team, so this role offers the chance to bring and integrate a highly valued and sought after skill set into the team. In Global Legal, we’re committed to a cultural shift and this role is integral to that, contributing to improving the employee experience of 1100 employees within the 44 countries that the Legal Function operates.
The role holder will:
Deliver Communications and Engagement initiatives within the function.
This will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting the Senior Engagement Managers with communication and engagement activities. This will primarily involve delivery of the global communications required for the Global Legal People programme, which focuses on our people priorities to affect a cultural shift within Legal.
- Providing specialist communications input across all 3 work streams of the Global Legal People programme
- Developing our People
- Building a Healthy & Inclusive Culture
- Engaging our People
- Regular communications update to stakeholders and the wider Function utilizing a range of channels
- Communications management of various Global People events in Legal, such as off-sites, conferences, and events for top talent. This will also include leadership and professional development, D&I, well-being etc.
- Designing and delivering a range of content, ensuring a high level of creativity
- Providing engagement expertise across all communications areas and regions
- Overseeing the London and Global engagement activities
- Supplying additional communications support to the US
- Giving general support to the wider Engagement team and managing ad-hoc tasks when required
All of this should be carried out in line with the people needs and strategic direction of Legal.

Skills/ Experience
- Creative and innovative communications and engagement specialist
- Proven track record of inventive and resourceful communications solutions
- Good existing network and prior exposure (possibly from agency/ or law firm)
- Able to work closely with senior stakeholders
- Global experience
- Strong organisational, planning and implementation skills
- Able to translate work stream outputs into inspiring communications that resonate with colleagues at all levels and in all locations
- Proactive and able to demonstrate initiative and an appetite for continuous improvement
- Commercial and delivery focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Strong stakeholder management
- Calm under pressure
- Ability to re-prioritise in very short timescales
- Energetic and self-motivated team player
- Microsoft Office skills
- Needs to be a self starter, willing to take accountability and able to work effectively
- Ideally experience in Poppulo / Seenit / HSBC NowShare / Adobe Premier Pro
- Campaign development is desirable
- Experience in video editing, photography, Creative PowerPoints, infographics, animations is desirable
