The team – Global Operations & Automation - Business Automation Technology (GOA BAT)

Business Automation Technology (BAT) is a global team working with Business and other technology teams on delivering number of products. There are 700+ staff globally and are responsible for 70+ products and solutions in the areas of Process & Workflow Automation & Enterprise Document Management (EDM).

The GOA BAT team in the UK works primarily for the UK market. Our products cover multiple aspects and areas – digital signature, workflow, content management, process streamlining and automation. All this is achieved with high level of autonomy and ability to choose our path and technology direction we would like to implement across the region. We are seeking new team members who would become part of our journey and will help us to evolve technologically and bring right capabilities to the Business’s across the UK market.

 The Role

This Job Profile will lead change initiation & design for key transformational projects where close relationships are required with business stakeholders. This role is critical to the successful initialization and mobilization of new projects.

We are looking for a Consultant to help us strengthen our delivery capabilities. In this role you will be focusing on the complex and varied book of work associated to our Regulatory work streams and demand coming mainly from the UK market. On joining to the team, the successful candidate will be expected to quickly gain a solid understanding of the existing processes, system flows and components currently used: displaying sufficient interpersonal and relationship building skills to liaise directly with engineers, IT business partners and directly with Business stakeholders, SMEs to develop functional specifications and work out best design and solution 

proposition from our perspective based on demand from the Business. Respectively engage with resources and if needed own the delivery end to end, playing wide set of the roles (BA/PM/SA etc) on the project.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand UK BAT strategy and direction to run project engagements accordingly for achieving strategic direction
  • Understand and shape the technology landscape of automation, customer communication, document management, workforce management technologies and solutions
  • Initiate projects/initiatives working with the business and stakeholders until it is mobilized
  • Strongly engage with Business and other IT Stakeholders to manage the expectations as well as promoting the technologies and solutions seeking the potential opportunities
  • Lead the initial solution proposal to the business and IT Stakeholders working closely with the architects and engineering team. (Cost estimation, high-level solution design and potential timeline)
  • Prepare the necessary materials and documents according to needs. (e.g. Solution proposal, estimates, Initial Project Charter, MI/Dashboard)
  • Turn high level (business requirement and target operating model/gap analysis) statements into tangible tasks (i.e. Functional specifications) in the context of the touch points in the existing/new system stacks, become SME within initiatives and go to person around overall design / data / data flow / process
  • Supporting Team in creation of functional specification documentation/JIRA tasks as well later on with testing etc.
  • Working with the business and IT in a collaborative and iterative manner to build out appropriate solutions
  • Engaging with the PM / Architecture level to align solutions and overall platform goals and present proposed solutions to the appropriate design authority

 

Requirements:

 

  • Understanding of the program / project lifecycle
  • Stakeholder management experience, especially impactful communication and influencing others
  • High-level Project planning skills and Co-ordination experience, understanding of SDLC
  • Understanding of systems design and systems architecture
  • Requirements analysis and ability to identify core functionalities required
  • Is able to work and run multiple projects initiatives in parallel
  • Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in workflow management and design of solutions
  • Knowledge/experience of producing end to end process flows & use of tools such as JIRA & Confluence
  • Generic knowledge of Infrastructure designs (on prem/cloud)
  • The candidate should be well versed with Risk management process and have experience of managing them to successful conclusion.
  • Knowledge on financial management
  • Should have sufficient technical and market knowledge on E2E digitization and automation solutions and practices
  • Ability and willingness to learn available technology/solution landscape provided by global GOA BAT
  • Willingness to promote BAT IT solutions and experience of finding new opportunities with the business
  • Understanding AI/ML and Data Analytics and their practices is a plus
