Senior Implementation Analyst

£385.00 PAYE / £499.86 Umbrella (GCB5)

Role Summary:

HSBC are currently searching for a Senior Implementation Analyst to join their team in London. If successful, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful on-boarding of clients and borrowers to the Securities Services Agency Securities Lending programme, the subsequent maintenance and reconciliation of all programme parameters across all related securities lending systems. You will also manage the collection and payment of securities lending related income to clients and will need to maintain excellent relationships with clients and internal/external stakeholders, including the Securities Lending Product and Trading desks and a broad range of broker/dealers. Key Responsibilities:

Overall Role Responsibilities:

·    Support all operational aspects of lender, borrower and market on-boarding making sure that the client experience is positive, and that all contractual and regulatory obligations are met. 

·    Review new client mandates to identify potential operational risks and proposed solution

·    Ensure that core system data is created and maintained to the highest standards and in accordance with all client and regulatory requirements.

·    Enforce the existing static and reference data control structure. This includes, but is not limited to, regular compliance review, maximisation of system controls and audit support

·    Support the daily operational requirements of the Securities Lending trading desk to assist in the maximisation of revenue potential and client satisfaction

·    Manage the monthly calculation, collection and allocation of securities lending revenue, maintaining continuous currency reconciliation, and adhering to all client deadlines. 

·    Transform the underlying fee billing process and infrastructure. Identify procedural and system enhancements with especial focus on the utilisation of ‘best of breed’ service and support technology.

·    Identify automation and transformation opportunities that will reduce operational risk/overheads and improve the standard of the client offering. Collaborate with the relevant function manager, taking a proactive role at all stages of the delivery

·    Represent MSS Securities Lending Operations in related internal and external forums with a view to achieving MSS/group targets. This will involve active participation in a number of diverse work streams including change, risk, product and industry discussion groups

·    Contribute to the prioritisation of Securities Lending Operations’ deliverables in line with MSS, Global Custody & Treasury Product and Securities Lending Operations’ strategic plans.

·    Remain abreast of all relevant industry initiatives / developments in those areas that may impact MSS Securities Lending Operations.

·    Continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of any changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management re-structures and the impact of new technolog

·    Positively contribute to the Implementation team to create a professional, high quality operational centre of excellence, with a proper focus on culture and ethical standards.

·    Maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders communicating with them in a professional, clear and concise manner, meeting all deadlines.

 

Key Experience / Skills:

Experience and skills that are required for this role are as follows:

·      Over 3 years’ experience in a securities lending or a securities operations environment.

·      Demonstrable understanding of securities pricing, reference data and the use of static data in an operational environment.

·      Previous exposure to securities lending related legal documentation (e.g. GMSLA/ SLAA) would be advantageous.

·      Ability to plan and organise workload to meet deadlines, taking into account relative priorities, on both a personal and team level.

·      High level of interpersonal, professional and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels (including Senior Management).

·      Preferred systems experience to include Global1, Markit, Pirum, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters pricing tools with strong Microsoft office skills.

·      An understanding of the operational set up required for Equilend NGT and Tri Party Collateral services would be advantageous.

·      Degree education or IOC qualified preferred
