Senior Performance Analyst

£375.00 PAYE / £486.87 Umbrella (GCB5)

London Canada Square (Hybrid – 1/2 days a week in office)

12 Month Contract

Role Summary:

HSBC are currently searching for a Senior Performance Analyst to join their team in London. If successful, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of the performance measurement, attribution and analysis function in London. You would also be responsible for providing support to the global performance analysis team as well as other overseas offices. In general, this role will have a particular focus on Passive and ETF products. If you feel as though you fit the criteria below, please do not hesitate to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Role Responsibilities:

·      Production of performance, attribution and bespoke reports on a daily/monthly/quarterly basis. 

·      Production of monthly performance summary sheets, and ex-Post risk measures for all major investment teams. Summary sheets are distributed to fund managers, team heads and HSBC senior management.

·      Accurate and timely production and distribution of Client Reporting & Product Specialist monthly and quarterly reporting.

·      Production and collation of performance related reports submitted to CIOs for presentation to HSBC Boards on a quarterly basis.

·      Import and check for accuracy the monthly performance and benchmark returns for GIPs accounts.

·      Provide stock analysis, statistics and attribution for RFP’s, consultant surveys, questionnaires and new business pitches.

·      Proactively suggest enhancements to internal and 3rd party systems, ensuring business needs are continually met. Work with IT to specify, test and release any enhancements to the production environment.

·      Liaise with third party external measurers to ensure the accuracy of HSBC related data. Ensure that knowledge of the systems is up to date.

Key Experience / Skills:

Experience and skills that are required for this role are as follows:

·      Preference for a numerical/business related degree, and/or relevant work experience within an asset management company.

·      Preference for candidate with previous experience of analysing Passive and ETF fund ranges.

·      Candidate should be able to demonstrate IT literacy, with strong Excel skills a must.

·      Preference for prior experience using BiSam B-One and/or FactSet.

·      Candidate should demonstrate a general interest in Financial Markets.
