Major global banking is currently transforming it’s client onboarding and KYC platforms and procedures

Including work on a key data system for client onboarding. They require a strong Technical Business Analyst with

Solid skills in areas like Access, Sql, Excel, RDBMS and scripting languages. You MUST also have extensive UK banking sector

Experience and any previous experience in KYC and Client Onboarding would be very welcome, although is not essential.

 

You MUST be a fully rounded BA able to capture and document requirements, run workshops, face off to both technical and

Business teams etc. However, it is essential that you also have solid technical knowledge in data, database and scripting tools.

These should include:

  • Experience working with relational databases and associated modelling and documentation techniques
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Access (or equivalent) and Excel to strong level including complex queries, forms automated import/export and multiple table views
  • Experience with a scripting language (jvm based preferred e.g. mvel, groovy)
  • Some Technical depth and breadth in service oriented architectures and micro-services

The below list of experience is not essential but you should feel comfortable with much of this wish list as a skillset.

  • 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst, ideally in a commercial banking organisation
  • 3-5+ years using Microsoft Access (experience with MySQL/PostGreSQL/Oracle/MS SQL Server will be considered as equivalent), including the design of databases, forms, reports, VBA and queries. 
  • 3-5+ years using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Demonstrable experience developing macros in Excel and/or Access
  • Demonstrable experience developing scripting solutions
  • Demonstrable experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Demonstrable experience using BDD to write user stories, acceptance criteria and acceptance tests
  • 3+ years usage of Microsoft Sharepoint and related tools for document storage and version control
  • 3+ years usage of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
  • 3+ years working in a Tier 1 banking environment highly desirable
  • Experience of Customer Due Diligence, Know Your Customer, Onboarding highly desirable
  • Experience of migrating Access to server based SQL databases (eg. postgresql) highly desirable
