Purpose of the Role:

The Service Integration and Management (SIAM) Analyst role outlined forms part of the new SIAM function that is being implemented as part of the ITIS Programme.

As a SIAM Analyst working in the SIAM Team, you will demonstrate a range of support skills, managing and supporting the underpinning processes and working procedures required in the BSA’s journey to become a multi-sourcing digital business. The Technology teams are modernising and transforming the business in line with this journey, putting the user at the heart of everything we do and this includes the delivery of business solutions using agile methods in a continuous delivery environment.

Demonstrating excellent communication skills, participating in both internal and external activities in line with your specialism to keep your skills up to date. With a clear ability to rationalise complex technical information, you will transform this information, making it understandable for others to work with.

Engaging with stakeholders, you will facilitate and foster collaborative approaches, prioritise requirements and optimise resource utilisation, demonstrating a creative and innovative approach and advising on a number of standards, methods, tools and applications, so that the optimum approaches, standards and solutions are delivered to meet organisational objectives.

The role will support a variety of integrated service duties including but not limited to; Continual Service Improvement, Governance and Risk, Change, Service Asset and Configuration, Release, Problem, Incident, Service Level Management, Supplier Management, Access and Service Catalogue Management etc.


Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

1. Support the development, introduction, transition and day to day operation of ITIL SIAM processes, engaging with business colleagues, internal/external suppliers and key stakeholders as guided.

2. Support the adoption of SIAM policies, processes and procedures, ensuring they are in place for each function and are followed by all Service Providers with non-conformance reported and reviewed;

3. Implementing standards and policies, pro-actively identifying and proposing improvements or enhancements to meet changing needs.

4. Proactively engaging in conversations to support the on-going development and maintenance of your own skills and knowledge, including attending relevant Communities of Practice.

5. Working under general direction; planning your own work to achieve agreed objectives, seeking information when unclear, and escalating as appropriate, any issues or conflicting priorities which may impact deadlines.

6. Actively participating and contributing to quality assurance reviews of your work through a variety of approaches such as peer review, learning logs, and engaging in appropriate communities.

The Candidate:

Keeping abreast of new and emerging methodologies and standards to support innovative and creative delivery of business objectives.

Qualification required: • ITIL v3 Certification to at least Foundation Level

Experience : • On-going Continuous Professional Development

Oversee the analysis of KPI’s, SLA measurements and the co-ordination of service improvement plans

Proven knowledge of Service Operations (e.g. Incident and Major Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Supplier Performance, Customer Satisfaction, Governance of IT Services etc.) within a SIAM structure

Maintaining & supporting Service Asset and Configuration in addition to the Service Catalogue Managing multiple contracted suppliers adhering to contracted SLA’s.

Developing and reviewing report metrics

Multi-tasking, working across multiple projects, analysing opportunities, defining successful approaches, and proactively solve problems

Proven knowledge with implementing and on-boarding suppliers into a SIAM toolset.

Location: Newcastle

Day rate: £300
