My high profile banking client requires a Specialist in GFS on a contract basis to work from their Halifax location General Skills - An analytical thinker with the ability to break down and improve technical processes and provide solutions for complex systems.
- Detailed knowledge of ETL processing ideally in the Microgen Aptitude and Aptitude Accounting Hub product set.
- Active participant in Risk identification, mitigation and remediation for operational systems and change implementation. Including application and technical currency.
- Track record of delivery against multiple, concurrent project work streams managing artefacts across multiple active route-to-live environments.
- Conduit between infrastructure / database teams and application teams. Technical skills Knowledge of core technical areas such as:- - Oracle infrastructure and Databases with experience as Technical Leader. - Optimising database performance using a variety of methods such as tuning and indexing - IBM WebSphere and Tomkat - Connect Direct and Batch Scheduling - Unix and Mainframe - Programming procedures such as PL/SQL - Knowledge of dev-ops culture and tooling such as GIT, GERRIT, JENKINS, URBAN code.
