C# Developer London 6 Month Contract £550 - £600/day ROLE SUMMARY Having spent the past five years building the infrastructure to support the above offerings and products using Microsoft SQL Server, MATLAB, and Excel/VBA, Matching Solutions is now in the process of building a new system to encapsulate all our models and processes with a universal front end application. Therefore the department is looking to recruit a C# .NET Developer on a contract basis to help our Analytics Team build the new application, re-skill the team to C# .NET and provide best practice development methods. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Analytics team deliver scalable and robust tools and models and manage the data sets required to run them. The role will require the integration of existing tools and models as well as enhancing / extending the existing infrastructure, which includes: • Economic Scenario Generator • Tail Risk Scenario Engine • Curve Construction Tools • Asset / Liability Matching Models • Cashflow Matching Models • Portfolio Management Tools • Fund Performance Attribution Systems EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED Core Competencies • Software analysis and development. • Ability to work well in a team. • A methodical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting. • Ability to plan, prioritise and recognise dependencies and deliver to deadlines. • Self-motivated with record of being able to work with limited supervision. • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication skills. • Proactive, dynamic and energetic. Essential • Experience of GUI, object-oriented development within an asset management firm or similar organisation. • Experience of Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
