A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Developer to be based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester to join a major retail banking client. The client is a leading UK Retail bank looking for an motivated and aspiring individual to join a project based around an office re-location looking to upgrade legacy systems.
THE ROLE
The client is looking to re-locate from a Birmingham based office to Cheadle in Manchester, as part of this transition they are looking for a number of developers, DBAs, Release Managers and Software Engineers to assist in a project focused on upgrading Centura software to a modern platform. The role will also involve training and development of a team of Junior Developers.
We are looking for individuals with experience in .NET, Java, SQL, UrbanCode or related technologies.
Centura experience is non-essential, however would be beneficial.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Works within a technical community of analysts, designers, developers and testers on critical projects.
• Provides technical direction and acts as a Senior Developer through design, development (including coding) and systems integration.
• Engages with senior business stakeholders from definition phase through implementation
• Analysis, design, development of applications using Microsoft .net, SQL.
• Works with onshore and offshore team.
• Enforces coding standards, code consistency, use of design patterns and adherence to application design
• Plans and works flexibly to a deadline
• Proactively shares own knowledge and technical expertise to others within team through consultation, providing advice, and coaching.
