Systems Administrator / Wintel Engineer
This is a hands-on role whereby the successful candidate will need to be highly skilled in multiple Windows disciplines with an appreciation of other related Infrastructure disciplines including networking and storage. There will be the requirement to work with other teams to ensure the smooth delivery of Projects and identify opportunities for improvement.
This role will be responsible for:
o Migration of existing services into the new environments
o Building of new services and applications into new environments
o Configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and management of server environments (Wintel)
o Creation and update of documentation underpinning Service Management support capabilities
o Occasional interfacing with Infrastructure Architects to support design concepts and delivery plan
o Updating of Low Level Designs and implementation plans
o Advise and assist the Project Manager with the creation of implementation plans
o Infrequent requirement to work outside of normal working hours
Experience
o Good experience in a similar administrator role mandatory
o Experience of Data Centre build/migrations
o MS Windows Server 2012/16/19
o Working knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019 administration and utility tools
o HCI Technologies (Dell VxRail) experience advantageous, but not necessary
o Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016/2019 (On Premise)
o VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x
o Microsoft AD & Group Policy
o McAfee ePO
o Skype 2015/2019 (On Premise)
o SCCM (On Premise)
o Comprehension of Firewall, VPN and Networking technologies
