Join us as the Supplier Quality Engineer, on this position You will:

  • Work with a key supplier on the test and development of a new military program.
  • Plan, organize and conduct audits/assessments of supplier's systems, processes, and products.
  • Document and report audit/assessment results.
  • Inspect and verify products for compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Assess capability and capacity of suppliers to perform current or potential future work.
  • Investigate and resolve concerns to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues, and company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Report status of supplier performance. 
  • Report to the virtual management team.


Your Profile:

  • Background in quality/inspection (of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies).
  • Knowledge of aviation industry, military and government specifications, handbooks, and standards - experience in aircraft structures is essential.
  • Knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU).
  • Knowledge of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data). Ability to differentiate production (manufacturing) processes and requirements from in-service procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g. drawings, handbooks, industry standards, and specifications).
  • Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners, and progress through to a complaint resolution.
