At CXC, we have the pleasure of partnering with an innovative and forward-thinking global aviation client who are looking for a Product Owner to join their team of passionate people building a new solution to support flight operations. 


The role is customer facing which requires good presentation and communication skills as well as excellent technical capabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to cover the list of expectations presented below, but it’s also the right, proactive, adventure-seeking attitude that they want to see.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with product management and other product owners in product planning through requirements development and analysis;
  • Elicits requirements using various methods;
  • Writes requirements in form of user stories and features according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely;
  • Decomposes high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and features/user stories validation points;
  • Keeps Team Backlog prioritized and up to date;
  • Participate in reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly;
  • Inspect the progress at the end of every sprint through demonstrations;
  • Working closely with Developers to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.


Education/Experience:

  • At least Bachelor's degree;
  • Proven experience in IT area;
  • Strong experience in Requirements Analyst, Business Analyst or System Analyst or Product Owner role;
  • Strong experience working in an Agile / Scrum team environment;
  • Experienced user of Jira, JAMA Contour tools;
  • Aviation domain knowledge is a plus;
  • Experienced in Scaled Agile environment is a plus;
  • REQB certificated is a plus;
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner certificated is a plus.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Practical knowledge of the Requirements Engineering process, methods, techniques and tools;
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to discover key requirements information;
  • Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts;
  • Able to decompose high-level information into details;
  • Able to distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements;
  • Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff;
  • Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders (such as customers, product management, and engineering);
  • Technical knowledge to communicate with the software development team;
  • Well organized, able to act in a structured way, self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision;
  • With precise, analytical and clear thinking;
  • Self-confident, team-oriented with a positive attitude, energetic.

  • Target Start Date: ASAP, no later than August 1st
  • Duration: 6 months with potential to convert to contract with Client
  • Contract type: B2B Contract
  • Location: Gdansk
  • Work Schedule/Shift Expectations: 6 am – 6 pm office hours. Meetings with USA team
  • Hours per Week: 40
