At CXC, we have the pleasure of partnering with an innovative and forward-thinking global technology client who is searching for an Implementation Specialist with a good understanding of AI and Machine learning to join their team on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will be the owner and champion of the Data management, Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence and agree and control the technical architecture whilst determining the technical environments. Additionally the Client’s Cloud Infrastructure Services unit is a global team of technology experts and domain specialists that helps businesses from all around the world extract maximum business value from their IT investment and facilitates their journeys to the cloud.

In addition to facilitating journeys to the cloud, they support businesses by providing services such as helpdesk services (human and AI powered), network access and maintenance, hosting and maintaining applications, IT operations and much more. All of the support is done in 24 languages and from 4 locations in Poland.

Project Overview:

You will become an owner and SME in the process of building a Splunk IT Service Intelligence platform to collect metrics and log data from each region into on-premises VMware and Azure Cloud based guest server and infrastructure. It will monitor and collect all syslog or windows event logs from any newly provisional server or any infrastructure guest windows or Linux server.

Due to its complexity a phased approach has been adopted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create aSplunk architecture with a centrally searchable platform that:
  • Can interface with ServiceNow to create tickets when an issue is discovered.
  • Is robust enough to cater for the data separation required to support regional requirements.
  • Collects metrics, syslogs, and windows event logs from newly provisioned guest server in either Azure Native or on-perm VMware.
  • Turns metrics collected from guest server into KPI’s as to apply standard threshold monitoring. 
  • Creates automated packages that can be repeatedly deployed.
  • Shares best practices and acts as Subject Matter Expert
  • Splunk Administration
  • Installation, configuration and management of Splunk components
  • Splunk apps management
  • Indexes / Authentication / Knowledge objects management
  • Ingesting new data sources
  • Preparing parsing, event line breaking and timestamp extraction

Experience required:

  • At least 1+ year experience on a similar/AI & Analytics related position.
  • Experience with Splunkand IT Service Intelligence Platform:
  • Entity and correlation search
  • Creating Episodes
  • Episodes automation with ticketing systems.
  • KPIdesign experience.
  • Very good knowledge/experience with minimum one of the below:   
  • BI Tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik.
  • Artificial Intelligence e.g. R, Python or/and other ML tools.
  • Machine Learning fields such as forecasting/prediction, classification, regression, clustering, and dimensionality reduction (deep learning frameworks as a plus).
  • Excellent communicator (work in an English-speaking environment).
  • Driven and proactive.
  • Keen eye for detail.
