My client, a multinational food and furniture retailer and one of the world's best known brands is seeking to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer to work as part of an internal transformation team responsible for migrating legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform.
The Job:
- Able to design high-quality software and architecture
- Work in a DevOps model where existing and new products and code are supported, existing application are enhanced and new Applications are developed with high-quality software code which has been tested and is ready to be shipped, applying and using good practices and agreed standards
- Work in agile teams, contributing to the development and maintenance of products and solutions
- Provide experience, and guide other team members, in how to utilise GCP tools and features out of the box to create cost efficient solutions
- Apply and adhere to good practice software engineering practices (continuous integration, automated tests, code reviews) within an agile/iterative development approach including validation and verification testing
- Ensure good understanding of each user story and the expected outcome, asking for further detail when required
- Contributing to the continuous development of standards against which software development should take place as well as exploring and bring in new technologies to boost innovation and development productivity
- Take benefit of the chosen cloud-solutions
- Create secure solutions to handle sensitive Co-worker data
- See the data as a product that is made available through various interfaces that can serve our consumers with the required data
Have you:
- 5+ years experience in DevOps
- Extensive experience with implementing Google Cloud Platform solutions
- Previous experience of designing, setting up and optimising data flows
- Knowledge of design and architecture concepts and ability to apply knowledge within the development cycle
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large expanding business on a daily rate contract basis.
