This role is a long term rolling contract. Candidates must be based or able to work fulltime in Cork when restrictions are lifted.
Tasks/responsibilities
· Development, design and maintenance of the Custody & Brokerage application
· DBA activities such as backup/restore, analysis & maintenance
· Write technical documents, delivery good quality code and must be a problem solver.
· Working as part of an application development unit reporting to a Development team leader
Extensive OpenEdge / Progress 4GL Knowledge
Qualifications/required skills
· OpenEdge version 10+
· Application Server knowledge is essential.
· Experience with Pacific Application server will be added advantage.
· Performance fine tuning and good knowledge of Progress DB.
· Knowledge of webserver, application servers and Messaging.
· Must have good working knowledge on Linux & shell scripts
· Progress WebSpeed experience is desirable.
· HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience is desirable.
· Jenkins / Maven / ANT and PCT experience is desirable.
