My high profile banking client are currently recruiting for a VBA developer to work at their Offices in London on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Description: Role will support the senior project leads for a large strategic effort currently underway: the migration of the businesses general ledger on to Oracle Cloud The role will provide organizational and project support plus VBA, Access and Excel programming. Role will include managing projects around the General Ledger and the implementation of Oracle Cloud as well as working on tools to analyse large amounts of data and automate parts of the testing process using VBA and Access.
Key skills needed: • Project Management, Report and System testing experience
• VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) o In-depth knowledge for Excel and Access (e.g. ability to build complex automated databases in Access) o Knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Visio
• MS Access o In-depth knowledge of Forms, Queries, Macros & Table Designs o Be able to handle large volumes of data, that will exceed Access’s limit of 2GB o How to handle split databases – i.e. Front and Back end • Excel – In-depth knowledge
• SQL (Structured Query Language)
• TOAD – Database Management toolset • Good knowledge of Oracle FGI / FDW & Oracle Cloud • Good knowledge of Banking products e.g. FX, TDs, Derivatives, Equities etc would be beneficial. Required Skills: • Advanced VBA, Excel and Access • Project Management Skills • Strong Communication Skills Written and Verbal • Banking experience • Previous experience in a large multi-faceted project • Experience in testing large volumes of information • Organized • Strong PowerPoint skills • Results Driven • Able to operate across all areas of the organization • Self Starter o Ability to Influence Desired: • Understanding of Finance and General Ledgers N.B.
